OTRIVIN ADULT 0.1% NASAL DROPS 10ML

Otrivin 0.1% Nasal Drops effectively relieves nasal congestion within 2 minutes. Quickly provides a sensation of improved nasal airflow with long-lasting relief.
How it works
Otrivin 0.1% Nasal Drops contains the active ingredient, Xylometazoline hydrochloride, which unblocks your nose by reducing swelling of the mucosa. It also helps sinus drainage so mucus can be drained out, easing painful sinus pressure.
How to use
Otrivin 0.1% Nasal Drops should be administered as follows:

1. Remove the tap..
2. Put 2-3 drops of 0.1 solution..
3. 3-4 general applications per day are sufficient

Detailed instructions:

1. Clear your nose/your child’s nose gently.
2. Before using, practice using the dropper to develop good dosage control.
3. Tilt your head/your child’s head back as far as is comfortable or, if lying on a bed, hang the head over the side.
4. Without touching the dropper to the nose, apply the drops into each nostril and keep the head tilted back for a short time to allow the drops to spread throughout the nose.
5. If the drop completely misses your nose, administer the drop again.
6. If any part of the drop gets into your nose, do not administer the drop again.
7. Repeat with the other nostril.
8. Clean and dry the dropper before replacing it back into the bottle right after use.
9. To avoid possible spread of infection, the bottle should only be used by one person.

If cold symptoms persist or worsen consult your doctor or pharmacist. To avoid possible spread of infection, only one person should use each pack.
When to use

For adults and children over 12 years old. Otrivin 0.1% Nasal Drops is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of nasal congestion.
Precautions

You should not use Otrivin 0.1% Nasal Drops for more than 7 consecutive days. It should not be used during pregnancy and breast feeding unless your doctor recommends it.

You should also consult your doctor before using the spray if you have any of the following medical problems:
· high blood pressure
· heart disease
· overactive thyroid
· diabetes
· phaeochromocytoma
· enlarged prostate
· benign tumor (pheochromocytoma)

If you are being treated for depression with Monoamine Oxidase (MAO) inhibitors, then you should also consult your doctor.

DO NOT USE THE DROPS:

· in children below 12 years of age,
· if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to xylometazoline or any of the other ingredients of this medicine,
· if you have had nasal surgery,
· if you suffer from glaucoma,
· if you suffer from a condition that thins the lining of the nose (atrophic rhinitis)
· if you suffer from inflammatory nasal dryness (rhinitis sicca).

Keep out of reach of children. Seek medical advice before using if you are breastfeeding. Do not use after the expiry date stated on the bottle.
